With Van Dijk potentially leaving, snapping up an experienced player to bridge the gap to Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni would be paramount, and Araujo could fit the bill then as he does now.But, knowing how Liverpool work, the Reds likely have another target already lined up, one who they could not get over the line this summer.So, while there remains a chance that Araujo could be a Liverpool player for much longer than the 26/27 campaign, the high nature of this particular clause makes that fairly unlikely as things stand.
