Liverpool have decided to part ways with head coach Arne Slot at the end of the season, according to a huge update from journalist Chris Royce. Rumours have been swirling for weeks regarding Slot’s future at Anfield, with plenty of reliable journalists claiming that FSG will stick with him into next season.
Writing on X on Thursday, Royce said that Liverpool have agreed to terminate Slot’s contract by mutual consent when the season reaches its conclusion, and they will again target a head coach instead of a manager: “The Liverpool board have decided NOT to continue with Arne Slot as manager for the 26/27 season. “Slot is set to take change of Liverpool’s final game of the season on Sunday.
No decision on Slot’s replacement has yet been made.” A decision that will delight Liverpool fans…if true! None of the local Liverpool journalists have reported this news yet, but there does seem to be a growing feeling that FSG’s stance may have changed on the matter.
